"Connection"  won the first place award at the   San Diego Watercolor Society.
Comments by the Juror, Richard Hawk:
"This painting has a surreal approach that is evocative of some of the best legacy of surrealism that has been done in the past yet it is new to me. It looks like nothing I have seen before. And it is a highly narrative painting. There is a story there and tremendous emotion. I think there is expression in both of the faces that is really good. And I think the limited pallet is gutsy in this particular painting."

Richard Hawk is an award winning, accomplished artist.  His artworks hang in private and public collections around the world and have appeared in scores of exhibitions and galleries:   hawkstudio.com
